On Wednesday, February 14, 2018, Chulalongkorn University, Ministry of Public Health, Thai Health Promotion Foundation, and government and private sectors jointly hosted the "For the Future of Thailand: Low Birth Rate and Aging Society Era" event, with an opening remark from General Chatchai Sarikulya, Deputy Prime Minister, at the Crystal Ballroom, Tawana Hotel, Surawong Road.
- There were a special speech on "The Transition Into Low and Very-Low Fertility And Policy Choices for the Future" by Prof. Doo-Sub Kim (President of Asian Population Association), a presentation of National Survey
- Research on "The Demographic Change and Well-Being in the Context of Aging Society: The Childhood Era" project by College of Population Studies, Chulalongkorn University (Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wiraporn Pothisiri, Ph.D. and Asst. Prof. Pataporn Sukontamarn, Ph.D.)
- as well as a discussion on "Low Birth Rate Society: A Review of Information and Lessons to Design Policies and Measures Against Them" by Sorapop Kiatpongsan, Ph.D., M.d., Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, Project Leader, Prof. Vipan Prachuabmoh, Ph.D., College of Population Studies, Chulalongkorn University, Asst.
